I floated down and landed gently outside a row of Canary Wharf terraced homes in a quaint East London, English village. The beautiful red brick houses all had bright colorful doors and flower boxes in the windows. Each had a little patch of green grass out front and some even had a small yard in the back. Canary Wharf type of terraced housing is very common and historic in East London, providing affordable homes for families that are full of character. They were built attached in long continuous rows, sharing thin interior walls with the homes on either side. Canary Wharf From the outside, you could see the lines of identical rooflines and neat facades stretching down the street. I peeked into one of the windows as a moving truck was pulling up., there were sure to be two or three bedrooms for children to play. Out back, through the gate, was a fenced garden with trees and space for a table to enjoy the evening sun. All of the homes had that special aging charm that comes with history. It was the kind of place where roots could easily take hold and lives spent. Now a new family was moving in to begin their chapter in this picture of lovely English village life tucked safely within a row of similar homes.
