Gwersyllt. Big place. Not really a village, is it? More like a suburb of Wrexham that got away. That A483 just screams past it. Constant traffic. Great if you need to get to Chester, I suppose. Not so great if you want to sleep with the window open. It's got a proper high street though. That's something. A chippy, a couple of pubs, a little Co-op. You don't have to go into Wrexham for everything. That's a bonus. The railway line runs right through the middle. You get used to the trains. They're just... background noise after a while. Lots of new estates on the edges. All look the same. The old part of the village is better. More character. But probably more problems with damp. Always is with those older terraces. The listings always show the nice bits. The sunny garden. The newly painted kitchen. They never show the queue of traffic in the morning or the neighbour's overgrown hedge. You have to go see it for yourself. Stand outside. Just listen for a bit. You learn a lot more that way.
